Accessibility

Dogfood Software LLC aims to make dogfood.software accessible to people with disabilities. Our accessibility target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.

Your device preferences

The website follows the preferences your browser makes available from your device. You can use your existing settings without configuring a separate accessibility menu on this website.

  • With reduced motion enabled, decorative animations use still images and movement effects are removed, including the header's scroll shrink and fade-in. When reduced motion is not enabled, the decorative backgrounds on our homepage, About page, and Privacy & Terms page loop continuously, and the header gradually fills in as you scroll.
  • The website follows your device's light or dark appearance.
  • You can use browser zoom and text settings. Content adapts to narrow screens, enlarged text, and increased text spacing.
  • Native borders and focus outlines support browser and operating-system high-contrast settings.

Accessibility status and known limitations

We follow your device's reduced-motion setting rather than providing our own animation controls. You can enable reduced motion in your device's accessibility or display settings; your browser must expose that preference for this website to follow it.

Our continuously looping decorative backgrounds do not have a website pause, stop, or hide control. This does not meet WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.2.2 (Pause, Stop, Hide) for visitors without reduced motion enabled. We do not claim full WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance.

Our review includes automated checks and keyboard, layout, and contrast checks. Testing with screen readers, additional browsers, and physical devices is still needed to verify compatibility.

You can navigate links with Tab and Shift+Tab and activate them with Enter. A visible focus indicator shows your position, and focused links remain visible when the page scrolls.

The first link, "Skip to content", moves to the main content. Pages use descriptive titles, headings, and landmarks to support screen-reader navigation. Images that convey information have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.

Reading and interaction

Text and controls have sufficient contrast against their backgrounds. Color alone does not convey information. Links have descriptive names, and interactive targets have enough size or spacing to use reliably. The website does not require dragging, complex gestures, or timed responses.

Scope and languages

This statement covers the Dogfood Software company website at dogfood.software. Products on other domains and external services have their own accessibility practices.

The website is currently available in English. Support for additional languages is a long-term goal and is outside the scope of this initial build.
